During Asian trading, the British pound edged higher against the US Dollar trading above 1.31000 levels.
The GBP/USD edged upwards after it was reported that the UK government shelved plans to raise income taxes at the November 26 budget statement from Chancellor Reeves. In the UK, there are no data releases scheduled to be posted today. In the US, Q4 Atlanta Fed GDPNow (4.0% exp) will be posted (17:00 GMT).*
