- Tesla Inc. designs, manufactures, and sells high-performance electric vehicles and electric vehicle powertrain components. Tesla sells more than five fully electric cars, among others, the new Model Y, the Model S sedan and the Model X SUV, and the Model 3 sedan, which is among the world's top-selling electric cars.
- EVENT: JUNE 3, 2021: MODEL S PLAID DELIVERY STARTS. CEO Elon Musk said that the modified Model S Plaid will start delivering on June 3, 2021 (at Fermont Factory, California). The car’s delivery was postponed several times in the past and it is now expected to contribute into the delivery numbers in Q2 and remaining 2021 quarters.
- Q2 CAR DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS RAISED TO AROUND 200,000 (NEW QUARTERLY RECORD?): Wedbush analyst Deni Ives said that Tesla is on track to comfortably top 200,000 units delivered in the second quarter. According to Electrek (US News Website dedicated to electric transportations), the brand's production capacity for the quarter is already sold out. Tesla delivered around 184,000 in the first quarter, meaning that delivery could rise around 9.00% quarter on quarter in the second quarter.
- ANALYST OPINION: Goldman Sachs forecasts $860 a share. Wedbush analyst Deni Ives raised Tesla Prices Target to $1,000 from $950. Deutsche Bank raised Tesla Price Target to $900. Morgan Stanley increased Tesla Price Target to $900 from $810 a share. ARK Investment Fund (run by Cathie Wood) gives Tesla a Price Target of $3000 by 2025.
- PRICE ACTION: Tesla hit a fresh all- time high of $899.81 in January 2021. At the moment the stock trades around 30% below its all- time high.
- STOCK PRICE TECHNICAL OVERVIEW (SUPPORT AREA BELOW $600 A SHARE): Historically, the Tesla stock has been maintaining a strong support area below the mark of $600 a share. After it started to pull back from its all- time high of $899.81 (January 2021), the stock has two times (in March 2021) tried to push below the mark of $600. The third time happened in the first half of May, but prices again tried move back above the mark of $600. In addition, the Daily Relative Strength Index fell close to the oversold threshold of 30.
