EVENT: Wednesday, June 15, at 20:00 GMT+1 - The US Fed Interest Rate Decision. The U.S. dollar is strengthening on raised expectations for aggressive monetary policy by the end of this year. Many board members vowed to support quicker and bigger rate hike in future, which is supportive for the US dollar;

EVENT: Friday, June 17, at 17:40 GMT+1 - The Bank of Japan (BoE) Interest Rate Decision. The interest rate is expected to remain unchanged -0.10%. The Bank of Japan expanded a round of bond purchases to keep the 10-year government bond yield near its 0.25% cap to try and boost a struggling economy. The yen is the worst-performing major currency this year, down around 14%, as the BoJ keeps rates low while U.S. yields surge on bets for continued Federal Reserve hikes.

Rising US government bond yields push the dollar against the yen higher with the 10-year bond yield again above the 3.4% level.
