Description:

General Electric is a multinational conglomerate based in the US and headquartered in Boston. Company segments include aircraft engines, power generation, oil and gas production equipment and financing, pharmaceutical, renewable energy, software development and industrial products. The company has completed numerous acquisitions throughout its history, although since 2015, the company has sought to streamline its services by selling off some of its businesses. In 2017, the company merged with Baker Hughes, an American industrial services company known for being one of the largest oil field services providing companies, in a deal valued at $30 billion. GE now owns 62.5% of Baker Hughes.
