Description:

Repsol SA is a Spanish based global energy company present in more than 50 countries. The company has gas and upstream oil operations in 31 countries, chiefly in the American continent. Its downstream activities involve the supply and trading of crude oil, oil refining, distribution and production of chemical products. Towards the end of 2017, the performance of the company has been boosted and in January 2018, a number of banks upgraded the rating of the company, since it’s expected that 2017 earnings estimates will be better than forecast.

Interesting Facts:

In 2015 the company acquired the Canadian multinational Talisman Energy for $13.1 billion.
Repsol also owns stakes in alternative energy ventures including biofuels and systems for charging electric cars.
In January 2018 the company announced it took a 70% stake in Klikin, an online customer loyalty platform that will allow its customers at its gas stations to pay using their cellphones.
