ELECTRIC VEHICLES (EV) MADE AROUND 18% OF TOTAL CAR SALES IN 2023: The EV sector increased its market share from around 4% in 2020 to around 18% of global car sales in 2023.
MARKET POTENTIAL: ELECTRIC VEHICLES (EV) COULD BE EXPECTED TO TAKE UP AROUND 50% OF GLOBAL CAR SALES BY 2030. In 2020, the market was worth 160.01 billion dollars. Expecting this number to grow to 823.75 billion dollars by 2030, the EV market could grow annually on average by 18.6%.

TESLA: THE COMPANY

Tesla produces the Model 3, Model X, Model Y, Model S and since recently, the Cybertruck. Tesla also delivers the Semi- Truck.
Tesla is still the largest seller of pure battery-powered Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the world and an absolute leader in the US (taking up between 60%- 70% market share).

TESLA: EVENTS AND ANALYSIS

EVENT (JUNE 13): TESLA SHAREHOLDER TO VOTE ON ELON MUSK’S COMPENSATION PLAN. According to Reuters, Tesla also said it will call a vote on moving the company’s state of incorporation to Texas from Delaware. The carmaker will convene its annual meeting on June 13.
EVENT (AUGUST 8): TESLA TO UNVEIL “ROBOTAXI” ON AUGUST 8, 2024. Musk has said that Tesla will make a car without controls for a human to use. He has also said in the past that Tesla cars equipped with Full Self-Driving Capability will, through software updates, gradually become better and better at driving.

TESLA: OTHER ANALYSIS

FULL- SELF DRIVING SYSTEM (FSD): Tesla has the most advanced system for autonomues self- driving, which has recently released its latest version of 12.3.5. More interestenlgy, Tesla said that is now in negotiations with a major car maker on FSD licensing. This could offer another leg of revenue growth to the firm
OPTIMUS (HUMANOID ROBOT): CEO Elon Musk said that Tesla may be able to sell Optimus by the end of 2024.
TESLA WILL LAUNCH A NEW MODEL IN 2025: The model is expected to be the cheapest Tesla has ever offered and it could cost around $25,000.
TESLA LATEST PRODUCT: CYBERTRUCK. Tesla is expected to deliver 100,000 to 120,000 in 2024 and at least 240,000 in 2025.

TESLA: PRICE ACTION

THE STOCK HAS TRADED AROUND 66% BELOW ITS ALL- TIME HIGH OF $414.4 (November 4, 2021). Tesla was last trading around $160, and if a full recovery follows to recent all- time highs, the stock could see an upside of around 196%. However, the price could decline further.

TESLA TRADES AT ITS LOWEST SINCE JANUARY 2023: Tesla has fallen recently to test its lowest price January 2023 ($140), down from its most recent top of $264.61 (December 28, 2023).

ANALYSTS OPINIONS: Morgan Stanley forecasts $310. Wedbush forecasts $275. Barclays forecasts $180. Citigroup forecasts $182. Bank of America forecasts $220.
