GER40:
- The GER40 represents the DAX 40 in Germany, which includes companies such as Adidas, Bayer, Mercedes-Benz, Deutsche Bank, Siemens, BMW, E.ON, etc. In essence, GER40 includes the most valuable and advanced companies in Germany, the largest economy in Europe.
GERMAN ECONOMY AT ITS BEST SINCE LATE 2022
- BREAKING (AUGUST 25): GERMAN GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT (GDP) ROSE BY 1% IN Q2. The German economy grew by 1% in the second quarter, marking its strongest growth rate since late 2022. The recent improvement in the German economy could further support the GER40 price.
U.S. – CHINA SUMMIT
- EVENT (SEPTEMBER 23 – SEPTEMBER 25): U.S. – CHINA SUMMIT. Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to visit the United States from September 23–25, with the main meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump expected on Thursday, September 24, at the White House. Key topics are expected to include trade and tariffs, rare-earth exports, A.I., Taiwan, Iran and broader U.S.–China relations.
- ANALYSIS: CHINA AND THE USA ARE THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT TRADE PARTNERS FOR GERMANY. In 2025, China was Germany’s largest trading partner, with total trade of €251.8 billion, followed by the United States at €240.5 billion. Together, China and the USA accounted for 16.8% of Germany’s total goods trade. However, the USA remained Germany’s largest export market, with €146.2 billion in German exports, while exports to China amounted to €81.3 billion. Together, the USA and China accounted for 14.6% of Germany’s total exports. Germany’s major exports to China include vehicles and vehicle parts, machinery and electrical equipment.

- WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 AT 08:30 GMT+1: GERMAN MANUFACTURING AND SERVICES PMI (SEPTEMBER). The German Services PMI came in at 49.7 in August, while the German Manufacturing PMI came in at 54.3. If the readings show stronger data, the GER40 index could come under positive and upward pressure.
- WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 AT 13:00 GMT+1: GERMAN INFLATION (CPI) (SEPTEMBER). German inflation currently stands at 2.9%. However, a lower-than-expected reading could support GER40 index.
- FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2 AT 10:00 GMT+1: EUROZONE INFLATION (CPI) (AUGUST). Eurozone inflation currently stands at 3.2%. However, a lower-than-expected reading could support GER40 index.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS:
- UPTREND: The black trendline shows that GER40 prices have entered an uptrend since March 30, 2026, which has also served as a key support zone. However, there remains a risk of a potential breakout below this level if market conditions change.
- THE GER40 HIT AN ALL-TIME HIGH OF 26,649 (AUGUST 12, 2026). The GER40 currently trades around 25,640, up around 5% this year. However, the price could also decline.
