U.S. - CHINA SUMMIT:
- SEPTEMBER 23 - 25: U.S. - CHINA SUMMIT. Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to arrive in Washington on September 23, with talks on September 24 and departure on the 25th. It would be Xi's first White House visit in more than a decade, with a formal state dinner planned.
- MAIN MEETINGS: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24. The Trump - Xi meeting is expected to focus heavily on trade, tariffs, technology and AI, rare-earth exports, and broader U.S.–China strategic issues.
U.S. MIDTERM ELECTIONS AND SILVER PRICE ACTION:
- U.S. MIDTERM ELECTIONS: NOVEMBER 3, 2026. The midterm elections take place halfway through a US president’s four-year term. This year, they will be held on November 3, 2026. Voters will elect all 435 members of the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 members of the Senate. The results will determine which party, the Democrats or the Republicans, controls each chamber of Congress for the following two years. Currently, President Donald Trump is a Republican, while Republicans hold a narrow majority in both chambers of Congress, with 219 seats in the House and 53 seats in the Senate.
- SILVER HAS HISTORICALLY PERFORMED STRONGLY DURING U.S. ELECTION YEARS. Since 2000, silver has risen in 9 of 13 U.S. election years, with an average gain of 13.7%.
- MIDTERM ELECTION YEARS: Silver rose in 4 of 6 midterm election years since 2000, with an average gain of 17.9%.
- WHEN DONALD TRUMP WAS INVOLVED IN ELECTIONS: Donald Trump was involved as a presidential candidate in 2016, 2020, and 2024, and was the sitting president in 2018 during the 2018 Midterm Elections. During U.S. election years involving Donald Trump, silver gained an average of 19%.

U.S. GOVERNMENT:
- BREAKING (SEPTEMBER 10): U.S. TREASURY BEGAN ITS STIMULUS-LIKE LONG-TERM BOND REPURCHASE PROGRAMME. The programme started being implemented on September 10, 2026. The US Treasury could use its near $1 trillion General Account (TGA) to help fund its announced plans to increase purchases of government bonds. The move could increase market liquidity, potentially weighing on the U.S. dollar and supporting silver prices.
- BREAKING (SEPTEMBER 10): U.S. PRESIDENT TRUMP PROMISED A $5,000 STIMULUS CHECK FOR EVERY AMERICAN ADULT IF REPUBLICANS WIN MAJORITIES IN BOTH THE HOUSE AND SENATE IN THE U.S. CONGRESS. President Donald Trump said he would pay every American adult a $5,000 "Trump dividend" if Republicans retain control of Congress in November's midterm election. With approximately 270 million U.S. adults, the idea would cost around $1.35 trillion.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS AND PRICE ACTION:
- SUPPORT AREA: $63 - $62. The level of $63 is proving to be strong support for silver and has been in place since early August 2026. The area near $63 has been tested at least five times since early August 2026.
- SILVER PRICE HIT A NEW ALL-TIME HIGH ON JANUARY 29, 2026 ($121.49). Silver currently trades at $66.40, and if it fully recovers to its previous all-time high, it could see an upside of around 83%. However, the price could also decline.
