The Australian Dollar rose against the US Dollar during European trading above 0.6400 levels.
The AUD/USD rose in the European session, as higher than expected inflation came out of Australia pointing to less interest rate cuts by the Reserve Bank of Australia. In Australia, CPI Inflation data for Q1 came in higher than expected (2.3% expected vs 2.4% realised). In the US, ADP Nonfarm Employment Change for April (123k exp) will be released (13:15 GMT+1), GDP for Q1 (0.4% exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1) and Core PCE Price Index for March (2.6% exp) will be posted (15:00 GMT+1).
