The Australian Dollar rose against the US Dollar during European trading above 0.6500 levels.
The AUD/USD currency pair slightly gained ground in the European session after new inflation data from Australia was higher than expected, reducing the odds of a future rate cut by the Reserve Bank of Australia. In Q1 Australia the Monthly CPII Indicator for April was posted with data being higher than expected (2.40% realised vs 2.30 expected). In the US, Fed Member Williams will speak (14:00 GMT+1) and Fed Meeting Minutes will be released (19:00 GMT+1).
