The Australian Dollar decreased against the US Dollar during European trading below 0.6600 levels.
The AUD/USD currency pair weakened as investors turned to the dollar as a safe haven asset while they await for the outcome of US-China trade talks. In Australia NAB Business Confidence data for May came out with data being higher this month than the previous (2 this month vs -1 previous month).
