In European trading, the euro fell against the US Dollar, trading below the 1.04100 mark.
The pair experienced a steep fall in this morning's session following a hawkish statement by Jerome Powell concerning future interest rate cuts by the FED and after Eurozone inflation data came in lower than anticipated. In Europe, German Consumer Climate data for January was released with results better than expected (-21.3 vs 23.6 expected). In the US, Q3 GDP figures (2.8% exp), Initial Jobless Claims (229k exp) and Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index for December (3.0 exp) will be released (13:30 GMT).
