In European trading, the euro advanced against the US Dollar, trading above the 1.1600 mark.
The EUR/USD rose in the European session as higher odds of an interest rate cut by the FED are expected in September and as the FED’s independence is endangered, which is all creating negative pressures for the US dollar. In the Eurozone ECB Meeting Minutes will be released (12:30 GMT+1). In the US, Q2 GDP figures (3.0% exp) and Initial Jobless Claims (231k exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1).
