In European trading, the euro increased against the US Dollar, trading above the 1.1700 mark.
The EUR/USD edged higher despite some pressure earlier in the session after poor data from Germany was posted this morning. In the Eurozone German Consumer Climate for October came in at -22.3 vs -23.3 expected. In the US, Q2 GDP (3.3% exp) and Initial Jobless Claims data (233k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT +1) and Existing Home Sales data for August (3.96 mln exp) will be posted (15:00 GMT+1).
