During European trading, the British Pound fell against the US Dollar, trading below 1.3600 levels.
The GBP/USD retreated in the European session, as lower than expected UK GDP data came out, creating negative pressures on the pound sterling. In the UK GDP data for July was released with data being lower than expected (1.4% realised vs 1.5% expected). In the US, Michigan Consumer Sentiment for September (58.2 expected) will be released (15:00 GMT +1).
