During European trading, the British Pound advanced against the US Dollar, trading above 1.3000 levels.
The GBP/USD traded upward in the European session, ahead of the interest rate decision by the Bank of England happening today where a pause in the rate cuts is expected, uplifting the pound sterling. In the UK, the Bank of England Interest Rate Decision (4%: unchanged exp) will be posted (12:00 GMT). In the US Initial Jobless Claims (218,000 last month) will be released (13:30 GMT).*
