In the European session, the German Benchmark Index traded lower below 18,000 levels.
European markets opened significantly lower on Tuesday as investors closely monitored developments in the Middle East. The benchmark Stoxx 600 index experienced a 1.2% decline, marking its lowest level since March 7.
Regarding European data, U.K. unemployment increased to 4.2%, compared to 3.9% a year ago, while regular wage growth excluding bonuses surpassed expectations, rising by 6%.
Across all sectors, trading remained in negative territory. Specifically, the U.K.'s FTSE 100, France's CAC 40, and Germany's DAX all registered declines of 1.3%.
