Stock futures wavered and bond yields rose ahead of data expected to show another acceleration in inflation, which was already running at its fastest pace in four decades. Futures for the S&P 500 edged down 0.2% Thursday, a day after the benchmark index rose 1.5%. Contracts for the Nasdaq-100 slipped 0.4%, pointing to losses for technology stocks after the Nasdaq Composite Index rallied 2.1%. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 0.1%. Ahead of the bell in New York, shares of Walt Disney jumped 7.7%. The company reported 11.8 million new subscribers for its Disney+ streaming service in the fourth quarter. Uber Technologies, meanwhile, gained 4.3% premarket after the ride-hailing firm said quarterly revenue climbed 83%.
