In European trading, the US Dollar rose against the Canadian Dollar, trading above 1.3700 levels.
The USD/CAD currency pair advanced slightly in the European Session as the Canadian Central Bank stated a greater degree of readiness to cut interest rates in the near future compared to the FEDs which is creating a positive effect on the USDCAD. In Canada, there are no data releases scheduled today. In the US, Initial Jobless Claims data and Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index data for September (1.7 expected) will be released (13:30 GMT +1).
