The US Dollar fell against the Japanese Yen in European trading below 149.00 levels.
The currency pair began to turn sharply lower in the European session amid reports that the Bank of Japan will likely keep interest rates at current levels until the end of the year. In Japan, Industrial Production figures for August were in line with expectations at -3.3%. In the United States, NY Empire State Manufacturing data will be posted (13:30 GMT+1).
