The US Dollar decreased against the Japanese Yen in the European trading session, trading below 144.000 levels.
The USD/JPY slipped following US-China trade talks starting in London which are exerting negative pressure on the US dollar and as better than expected GDP data came out of Japan. In Japan, Q1 GDP figures came out with data being higher than expected (0.0% realised vs -0.2% expected). In the US, New York Consumer Inflation Expectations data for May (3.6% last month) will be posted (16:00 GMT+1).
