The US Dollar advanced against the Japanese Yen in the European trading session, trading above 148.00 levels.
The USD/JPY climbed in the European Session, as news came out that the Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba will resign from his post following his party losing the elections. In, Japan, Monetary base data was published with results being lower than expected (-4.1% realised vs -3.5% expected). In the US, Manufacturing PMI for August (53.3 exp) and ISM Manufacturing PMI for August (48.9 exp) will be released at 14:45 and 15:00 GMT+1 respectively.
