The US Dollar retreated against the Japanese Yen in the European trading session, trading below 147.00 levels.
The USD/JPY fell in the European Session, as the FED is expected to lower its interest rates this week while the Bank of Japan is expected to keep its interest rates unchanged, creating negative pressures on the currency pair. In Japan, the Tertiary Industry Activity Index for July came in with data being lower for this month than the previous month (1.40 this month Vs 3.90 last month. In the US, Retail Sales for September (0.2% expected) will be released (13:30 GMT +1).
