The US Dollar climbed higher against the Turkish Lira during the European session, trading above 42.90 levels.
The USD/TRY rose in the European session, as double digit inflation and monetary uncertainty are creating negative pressures on the lyra. In Turkey, the Unemployment Rate for November came out with data being higher for this month than the month before (8.6% this month vs 8.5% for the previous month). In the US, Chicago PMI data for December (39.6 expected) will be posted (14:45 GMT) and Fed Meeting Minutes will be released (19:00 GMT).
