US Session Analysis for CFD Instruments 16/01/2026
Fundamental analysis
16 January, 2026
In European trading, the US Dollar extended gains against the Turkish Lira, with USD/TRY climbing to fresh all-time highs above the 43.25 level.
The pair pushed higher as the lira remained under pressure despite a sharp drop in inflation expectations, a move seen as insufficient to ease concerns over persistently high inflation and policy credibility. In Turkey, the end-year CPI forecast for January fell to 23.23% from 31.17%. In the US, Industrial Production data for January (0.1% expected) will be released (14:15 GMT).
