The Australian Dollar rose against the US Dollar during Asian trading above 0.6700 levels.
The AUD/USD currency pair moved higher in the Asian session, trading close to last week’s 14 month high amid increasing expectations that the RBA may decide to change its monetary course if inflation fails to ease. In Australia there are no data releases scheduled due to the Christmas holidays. In the US, Chicago PMI data for December (39.6 expected) will be posted (14:45 GMT) and Fed Meeting Minutes will be released (19:00 GMT).
