In Asian trading, the Euro edged higher against the US Dollar, trading above the 1.1600 mark.
The EUR/USD hit a near 10 day high during the Asian session amid improved chances that the newly appointed French Prime Minister Lecornu would survive a no confidence vote. In the Eurozone, Trade Balance data for August (12.4 bln last month) will be posted (10:00 GMT+1). In the US, the Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing index for October (9.1 expected) will be released (13:30 GMT+1).*
*Most US Government data will not be published (or will be delayed) because of a government shutdown. Non government US data will be released as normal.
