During Asian trading, the British pound fell against the US Dollar trading below 1.3000 levels.
The GBP/USD currency turned lower after two days of steady gains ahead of this afternoon’s Fed interest rate decision which is expected to see rates remain unchanged. In the UK there is no major data set for release today. In the US, the Fed interest rate decision (4.5% exp, unchanged) will be released (18:00 GMT) followed by the press conference (18:30 GMT).
