During Asian trading, the British pound increased against the US Dollar trading above 1.3300 levels.
The GBP/USD currency pair edged higher as the pair continues to find some traction on reports that the US and UK may negotiate a trade deal. However, gains were pared, since the Bank of England is expected to cut interest rates this week, while the Fed is likely to stand pat. In the UK, S&P Global Construction PMI data for April (46.0 exp) will be posted (09:30 GMT+1). In the US, the Fed will meet to discuss its Interest Rate decision (exp 4.5%: unchanged) at 19:00 GMT+1.
