During Asian trading, the British pound rose against the US Dollar trading above 1.3100 levels.
The GBP/USD currency pair gained during the Asian session with the pound being underpinned by the US - UK trade deal reached last week, ahead of the release of important US inflation data. after US China talks reduced US recession fears and provided a partial boost to the dollar. In the UK, Average Earnings Index + Bonus data for March will be revealed (07:00 GMT+1) and Bank of England Governor Bailey will speak (16:00 GMT+1). In the US, CPI Inflation data for April (2.4 exp) will be released (13:30 GMT+1).
