During Asian trading, the British pound decreased against the US Dollar trading below 1.3600 levels.
The GBP/USD currency pair retreated after hitting a fresh 39 month high yesterday, but the greenback continues to face challenges on trade and concerns over the fiscal deficit. In the UK, CBI Distributive Trades Survey for May (-14 exp) will be released (11:00 GMT+1). In the US, CB Consumer Confidence for May (87.1 exp) will be released (15:00 GMT+1).
