During Asian trading, the British pound fell against the US Dollar trading below 1.3500 levels.

The GBP/USD pair declined to a three week low after the UK National Statistics office reported on Friday that the economy contracted for the second consecutive month, alongside disappointing other industrial data, increasing the chances of a BoE rate cut in August. In the UK, there are no scheduled data releases today. In the US, there are no data releases today.
