During Asian trading, the British pound edged lower against the US Dollar trading below 1.3500 levels.
The GBP/USD pair declined as the greenback rose against a basket of other currencies in the Asian session ahead of this week’s Fed Interest Rate meeting on Wednesday. In the UK, the CBI Distributive Trades Survey for July (-46 last month) for July will be released (11:00 GMT+1). In the US, the Dallas Fed Manufacturing Index for July (-12.7% last month) will be released (15:30 GMT+1).
