During Asian trading, the British pound increased against the US Dollar trading above 1.31000 levels.
The GBP/USD edged higher just ahead of key UK inflation data which is likely to heavily influence the Bank of England’s interest rate decision on December 18th. In the UK, CPI Inflation data for October (3.5% exp) will be released (07:00 GMT). In the US, Fed Meeting minutes will be published (19:00 GMT).*
