During Asian trading, the British pound rose against the US Dollar trading above 1.36000 levels.
The GBP/USD edged higher in the Asian session despite growing expectations of a Bank of England interest rate cut in the near term after last week’s close decision to keep rates on hold at 3.75%. In the UK the Bank of England Member Mann will speak (23:15 GMT). In the US, Fed Member Waller will speak (19:30 GMT) and Fed Member Bostic will speak (21:15 GMT).
