During Asian trading, the British pound increased against the US Dollar trading above 1.3400 levels.
The GBP/USD grew to a ten day high in the Asian session amid speculation that potential rate cuts from the Bank of England may be delayed due to rising energy costs / higher inflation. In the UK, Retail Sales Monitor data released early this morning came in at 0.7% vs 2.0% exp. In the US, Existing Home Sales for February (3.89 mln expected) will be posted (14:00 GMT).
