The GER30 traded higher by close of business on Wednesday at 11579.10. European markets posted gains on Wednesday, as investors expressed relief that the mid-term election uncertainty is over and the vote ended up as a split-decision. Had the Democrats taken both houses of Congress, Trump would have been a lame duck for the next two years, and he would have had great difficulty passing any further market-friendly reforms. On the other hand, the Trump administration may be more willing to compromise on policy such as trade issues. The best performers were Fresenius Medical Care, which soared 9.20%. Fresenius SE & Co added 3.26% or and RWE AG ST O.N. was up 3.20%. The worst performers of the session were Adidas, which fell 3.55% BMW declined 3.46% and Beiersdorf was down 1.51%.
