In the Asian session, the German Benchmark Index traded above 18,300 levels.
German stocks on the DAX were higher after close of business on Friday as gains in the Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Insurance sectors pushed shares higher. The best performer was Bayer which jumped over 10% in value, after a significant legal victory in the US courts late last week.
