In the Asian session, the German Benchmark Index traded above 21,700 levels.

German stocks increased, jumping to an all time high before close of business on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms and Software sectors pushed shares higher and outweighed losses in the Construction, Technology and Transportation and Logistics sectors.
