In Asian trading, the US Dollar rose against the Canadian Dollar, trading above 1.4300 levels.
The USD/CAD currency pair moved higher for the fifth day in a row, climbing to an almost three week high in the Asian session despite the fact that President Trump appeared to suggest that tariffs against Canada may be delayed for an additional month. In Canada, Q4 Current Account data (-3.2 bln exp) will be released (13:30 GMT). In the US, GDP Q4 data (2.3% exp) and Initial Jobless Claims figures (222k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT).
