In Asian trading, the US Dollar increased against the Canadian Dollar, trading above 1.3600 levels.
The USD/CAD currency pair rose higher, with the dollar appearing to receive some support from US China trade talks, but the Loonie remains pressured from expectations that the Bank of Canada might cut rates another two or three times this year. In Canada, Building Permits data for April (1.9% exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1). In the US, Year on Year CPI Inflation data for May (2.5% exp) will be released (13:30 GMT+1).
