In Asian trading, the US Dollar climbed against the Canadian Dollar, trading above 1.3800 levels.
The USD/CAD pair increased on Monday, halting its rebound from the two-month low of 1.386 seen July 31st as softer domestic labour data and looming trade headwinds undercut the loonie’s earlier gain. In Canada, Housing Starts data (264K exp) will be released today at 13:15 GMT+1. In the US, Housing Market Index data (34 exp) will be posted (15:00 GMT+1).
