In Asian trading, the US Dollar declined against the Canadian Dollar, trading below 1.3800 levels.
The USD/CAD fell slightly in the Asian session with the pair responding to the prospect of renewed US access to Venezuela’s oil reserves, putting pressure on Canada, due to its status of being the largest oil supplier to the US market. In Canada, Services PMI data for December (44.30 last month) will be released (14:30 GMT). In the US, S&P Global Services PMI data for December (52.9 exp) will be posted (14:45 GMT).
