The US Dollar increased against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading above 147.50 levels.
The USD/JPY pair rose from Friday’s ten day low in the Asian session with domestic political uncertainty in Japan continuing to negatively impact the yen amid ongoing questions as to when the BoJ may life interest rates. In Japan, Monetary Base data for July (-3.3% last month) will be released (00:50 GMT+1). In the US, Factory Orders data for June (8.2% last month) will be released (15:00 GMT+1).
