The US Dollar fell against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading below 157.20 levels.
The USD/JPY retreated from yesterday’s multi month high following comments from Japanese Finance Minister Katayama suggesting that the government may soon intervene in the currency markets to support the Yen. In Japan, Bank Services PMI for November came in on target at 53.1. In the US, S&P Global Manufacturing PMI for November (52.0 exp) and S&P Global Services PMI for November (54.6 exp) will be released (14:45 GMT).*
