The US Dollar fell against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading below 155.10 levels.
The USD/JPY was sharply lower in the Asian session with the safe haven yen supported by a slight decline in global risk sentiment and increasing confidence that the Bank of Japan will hike interest rates this week. as traders moved away from the safe haven yen and as the dollar climbed against most of its rivals. In Japan, Tertiary Industry Activity Index data for October (4.70 last month) came in at 0.70. In the US, NY Empire State Manufacturing Index data for December (18.70 last month) will be posted (13:30 GMT).
