The US Dollar rose slightly against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading above 155.70 levels.
The USD/JPY preserved its uptrend in the Asian session as the dollar continued to trade more softly, although geopolitical tensions between US and Venezuela, Russia and Ukraine and in the Middle East provided some support for the safe haven yen. In Japan, Foreign Investments in Japanese Stocks (528.3 bln last week) will be posted (23:50 GMT). In the US, Initial Jobless Claims data (223k expected) will be released (13:30 GMT).
