The US Dollar rose against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading above 154.40 levels.
The USD/JPY increased this morning, bouncing off yesterday’s two month low with a generally positive risk tone in the markets undermining the safe haven yen, amid uncertainty in Japan ahead of snap elections to be held on February 8. In Japan, Monetary Police Meeting Minutes will be posted (23:50 GMT). In the US, CB Consumer Confidence for January (90.1 expected) will be released (15:00 GMT).
