The US Dollar fell against the Japanese Yen in Asian trading below 159.00 levels.
The USD/JPY was down during the Asian session, after hitting a more than one month high early in the session with the yen heavily influenced by oil supply disruptions due to the fact that Japan relies greatly on imported energy. In Japan, there are no major data releases scheduled today. In the US, Initial Jobless Claims data (214k exp) will be posted (12:30 GMT).
