The US Dollar rose against the Turkish Lira during the Asian session above 43.30 levels.
The USD/TRY currency pair tested yet another record peak in the Asian session as the lira remained under pressure with little sign of the country being able to overcome longlasting inflation. In Turkey, the overnight borrowing rate for January (36.50% exp) will be released (11:00 GMT). In the US, Q3 GDP figures (4.3% expected) and Initial Jobless Claims data (209k exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT).
